What Changed?
The Central Bank of Syria issued new banknotes by removing two zeros from the pound's value, to reduce difficulties in dealing with large numbers.
Conversion Rule
100 old SYP = 1 new SYP
Simply divide any old amount by 100 to get the equivalent in the new currency.
Transition Period
Both old and new currencies circulate simultaneously during a transition period. Prices shown on this site automatically include the new pound value.
